The fact that over 70% of European citizens engage in communication in a digital context can no longer be overlooked by the artists in order to reache their audiences.
The audience turns to digital platforms to search for information, communicate, share, contribute to joint projects, shop or enjoy entertainment activities. So artists need to consider how to expand their action-sphere, sustain their work to achieve greater impact and audience by using digital technologies and the digital media to disseminate and share the artworks with the community.
Artists also as being entrepreneurs need to know who their audience is and where to get the resources – money, knowledge, partnership to generate sustainable revenues. E-commerce, fundraising, advertising, sponsoring, and branding are explored as potential revenue models.
We, consortium partners want to exchange experience and practice how digital technology is affecting the art world, artists, circuses, varieté/vaudeville, festivals, theaters; discuss about tools of digital technology and their usage, neccessary settig ups and pathways to upskill artists.
24th - 25th/10/2019
Today we had the pleasure to welcome our three partners to Berlin for the kick-off meeting to the project Arts Meets Digital Media. The project aims at exploring the potentiality of digital technology as applied to the arts and in particular to the performing arts both as a tool for creativity and for its potential in education. Over the course of two days, activities were set to sustain this initial study in the feasibility of the application of digital technologies in art. The partners different specialities will contribute to the project for its best potential development. Strategic tasks will be implemented according the the partners’ specialities. These were set in the course of this kick-off and encompass three axis: collection of best practices and dissemination strategy; online marketing, public relation and promotion; lessons learned with possible project exploitation.
